Our sixteenth wedding anniversary was yesterday and we ended up getting a new car.  Love it.  My brother and sister-in-law was with us.  It is white and has a dark gray interior..The model is a Chevorlet Equinox.
My younger brother Greg and his wife Linda came in Saturday to go to family reunion on Sunday. Had two really good days with them. They left this morning to go back home.  Kind of sad, but I will see them again.

Well the bridal shower went well and she got alot of nice gifts.  We all had fun.  We all got together for a bachlorette party on the 23rd of June.  There were eight of us and we rented a room at a place called Echo and had finger food and sang karaoke for two hours and then went to the neon cactus.  We had so much fun dancing and laughing.  Now all that is left is to get the couple married.

My birthday was on the 17th of this month.  Had such a great beautiful day.  Jeff took to Texas Road House for dinneron Thursday and Friday we went to Creedside for some drinks and then went to Roachdale with some friends for karaoke.  Had a blast.  Saturday we put pontoon in water and rode around for awhile.  Sunday was a take it easy day.  I received a new pr of Nikes from Jeff, Hobby Lobby gift card from Stef and family, twenty dollars from Nicole and family and a piece of luggage from Michelle and family.

 I made these bags for a bridal shower I'm giving.  They will haold the prizes for the games, but the prizes go to the bride-to-be.  I used Maggie images from a swap so not sure what they are.  Her colors are pink, black and white.  I used spellbinders for two of the and the cake was cut out with SU framelits. I used SU black paper and ribbon from my stash.  Folded ctop of bags down, punched holes and tied ribbon thru the holes.  I used prima flowers and little pink pearls on the cake.

Mother's Day

I had a very good Mother's Day.  My hubby got me a watch, two hanging baskets and flowers for my containers for porch, and he took me for a prime rib dinner. My daughter Michelle got me some yard decorations and my daughter Stefanie and her family sent me a dozen mixed colored roses. My step-daughter Nicole and her family gave me $20.00.  What could any mother ask for.

 This plate belonged to my grandmother or great-grandmother one. I took a pink doily and shaped it into a bonnet. I took white prima flowers and sprayed them with Tattered Angels chalkboard glimmer mist cotton candy and put on brim.  I took a green flower and used the petals for the leaves.  I used a floral pearl spray to decorate side of plate.  I used a Martha Stewart cherished tag and stamped wonderful mother on it and pop dotted it on doily.  Used  piece of green polka dotted ribbon on tag.  This is for my grandkids to give to their mom for Mother's Day.

Well here I am again.  I have been busy planning a bridal shower for a friend of mine.  Her colors are hot pink, black, and white, so using those colors I made her invitations and a wedding card for them. I used all stampin up products except for the hot pink paper. The double heart punch, heart punch border also are not stampin up products.

Christmas

Had a really great Christmas this year. My daughter Stefanie and her family were home for Christmas this year from Texas.  We always have Christmas eve with Jeff's side of the family at Nicole's house and Christmas at my house.  It was such a good year.  I got some really nice gifts from my family, a big shot from my hubby and a michaels gift card from Chad and Rhonda, a cato gift card from Nicole and Jon and kids, a bathrobe, pjs, and a shirt from Stefanie and Rene and kids, and a bath set from Michelle and Brian and kids plus a lunch date on her. Hope everyone had as nice of holiday as I did.

Thank you card

I made this card using SU plain papers.  The butterflies were cut from a scrap piece of paper..  The stamps are SU.  The floweres are Prima and Recollections(sprayd with coral reef glimmer mist).  It looks pink in the picture but it isn't.

Altered tin

I altered a small lunch box tin using patterened paper from paper pizazz.  I used flowered on top and on bottom I used the stripe.  I added pearl spray from Hobby Lobby and the flowers and butterfly were from Michaels.  This is for my grandaughter Briann's room.

This is the paint can I altered for my grandaughter Carlie..I used paper from Paper Studios, flowers from Petaloo flora doodles.  The ribbon is from my stash..I used a pearl swirl from Say it With Crystals.  I thought it turned out rather cute.  Her room is the same color green as in the paper.

I out did myelf on this one.  I am so pleased with the way this turned out.  Both my grandaughters loved this can and want one like it.  I started with  plain paint can from Home Depot.  I covered it with two sided paper from Chatterbox.  I added a wide light aqua ribbon from JoAnns Fabrics and a bow.  I then added the pearl swirl from Hobby Lobby and flowers from Prima.  I sprayed the flowes with glimmer mist to get the turq. color and then sprayed them with pearl glimmer mist.  I added a turq. rhinestone brad to the center of the flowers..  The lid I did with the sdame paper and flowers and added pearl rope around the inside of the lid.

Altered Clipboard

1. This month has gone by really fast.  I can't believe in two weeks Michelle and I and the kids will be going to Texas  We are so looking forward to it.  Tuesday AI had lunch with a good friend in Lafayette.  I swo enjoy her company.  We had a good time.  Anyway while Jeff was helping David with his boat I whipped up this clipboard for a good friend who has been having medical difficulities lately and I wanted to cheer her up.
2. I covered the clipboard with a patterened papaer from My Mind's Eye and added SU paper at he bottom using a Martha Stewart Border punch-Lattice.
3. I cut a piece of corkboard and asdhered it to the board for notes.  he shopping list is from Michaels.
4. I cut her initial out with the cricut using the storybook cartridge and SU Dust Durango paper.  Flower is a APrima.  Hope she likes it.

Altered Tin

While the guys were off racing I altered this tin.  The paper is from DCWV and the ribbon is from Walmart.  The flowers are Prima spritzed with Caribbean Blue glimmer mist/  The lace bow is from my stash as is the pearl stick pin and the string of pearls.  The small turq. flowers are also prima.

winter blahhs

It has been awhile since I have posted.  I guess you could say I have had the winter blahs.  I don't like getting out in the cold that much, it chills me to the bone. Any way just wanted to let people know I'm still alive and well.  Looking forward to spring and summer.

Christmas card

I made this Christmas card using the snowman from an image swap I was in.  I used copic markers to color him with. the wings, bottom of scarf and the heart buttons have stickles on them.  Cardstock is SU and patterened paper is from Paper Studio.  The snowflakes were punches from glitter cardstock and sprayed with smooch spritz and then blotted with paper towel.  Ribbon is from my stash.  Saying at top is a SU stamp and punched with SU oval punch.

Friends-Sister & Brother

After two weeks in Texas visiting my daughter and her family, I have returned home for much needed rest.
Today I sat down and finally did a card using brother Edwin and sister Tilda purchased from Stampingscapping.  I stamped the image onto crossstitch material to see what it would look like.  I used copic markers to color with.  Didn't blend as easily but it didn't turn out bad.  I used SU ink to give the edgessome color and I used it on the paper behind the images.  I cut the oval with my scalloped ovals and cuttlebug.  The ribbon is a sheer with polka dots from Walmart.  Flowers are primas.  Cardstock is from SU.

Bewitching Hour Tilda

I have been over a week trying to get this card done for the SSC for Halloween. 

First of all my hubby called an ambulance to take me to ER room at our local hospital, which I have no memory of, late Wed night on the 15th and on the 16th i was transfered to St. Vincent heart care center In Indianapolis, In. where they did a heart cath.  After a few test they didn't find any reason for the chest pains and sent me home.  Just now getting some of my strength back.  Anyway here is the card I made using an image from an image swap.  Altered Tilda into a witch with her kettle where she makes spells.  The kettle, cat, spider and the clouds were stick ons.  I used tiny red pearls for the eyes on the spider,bat and cat.  Papers used were from my stash.  I stamped the saying inside with small stamps from a dollar bin at Michaels.  Copics I used were E00,000,0000 for the skin.  Tilds hair and dress and shoes were done with C9,7,5 and 3.  Ovals were cut using my Cricut and lacy labels cartridge.
